Our story starts long before our doors opened.
It begins forty years ago in Milton – a classic country town where lush farming land looks out over the ocean. And where the original Pilgrims, a humble little vegetarian café, started serving the community.
Inspired by nature and celebrating fresh produce, this simple veggie burger joint soon became a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
It’s grown a little since then, and with new owners in 1989 and then in 2004, the menu has evolved to include some of the favourite burgers, beverages and sweet treats Pilgrims is known for today.
Our founders know, because they were some of Pilgrim’s best customers. Our founders – the Quigleys, the Bardettas and the Stewarts – loved holidaying down the coast together as a family. They’d been eating at Pilgrims for so long, they just had to bring it home to Bronte.
Pilgrims is about more than just good food – it’s also about good service and good people. It’s what we like to call happiness on a plate.
And the word is getting out – over the past several years Pilgrims has opened cafés in Huskisson, Corrimal and Cronulla.
That’s why we thought it was time to bring a little slice of this South Coast heaven to Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Healthy, wholesome and hearty food that tastes simply delicious.
Welcome to Pilgrims Bronte. It’s just the start of our journey – we’d love you to join us.
